First Visit with Mesa Dental

A comprehensive examination is the foundation for empowering our patients to make informed decisions about their oral health. In most cases, high-quality X-rays are a necessary part of the exam. The comprehensive exam includes a soft-tissue exam (cancer screening), periodontal exam (gum disease), and exam of the teeth.


All the information we gather will be reviewed by you and Dr. Mann, and you will be an active participant in planning any necessary dental treatment. You will be encouraged to ask questions and share your thoughts so that we can create a custom dental care plan that makes you feel confident and comfortable.

Your initial visit will last 90 minutes. We kindly ask that you complete all the Patient Forms regarding your Medical History, Dental History, Insurance, and Personal Information online prior to scheduling your appointment. This will ensure that all our time is devoted to you and your dental needs when you are in the office.

Dental Insurance

We'll make the process of paying for your dental care as simple as possible! Our office accepts a wide variety of PPO insurance plans, and we're always happy to file your claim for you so that you can be sure to receive the maximum benefits available to you. Feel free to contact our office to discuss your individual questions and to verify our network status with your dental plan.

Smile Protection Discount Plan

For those patients who do not have an insurance plan, we are happy to offer our in-house discount plan. Your yearly membership is $150 per person. This entitles you to a 20% discount off our usual fees on professional services provided at Mesa Dental.

Appointment Policy

Mesa Dental respects every patient's time, and we kindly request the same consideration. Please be courteous and call our office promptly should you need to change your appointment. This will enable us to treat another patient in a timely manner.

We request a minimum of two (2) business days (Monday-Thursday) notice to change appointments. Inadequate notice may result in a late change of appointment fee.

We provide multiple courtesy reminders for upcoming appointments. Please let us know how you wish to be contacted. We utilize text and email messaging, and personal phone calls are provided upon request.

Financial Policy

We accept cash, check, VISA, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Payment of your estimated portion is always due at the time services are rendered. For those patients needing a payment plan, we utilize CareCredit, a healthcare credit card that offers deferred interest. For information, please visit their website at https://www.carecredit.com/.

Safety Protocols

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice, ensuring that we can keep our patients and team safe. We are following the most current guidelines made by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, the American Dental Association, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).


  • Please NOTIFY our office right away should you feel unwell, test positive for Covid-19, or have flu-like symptoms. We will happily reschedule your appointment to a later date.
  • While masks are no longer required, please feel free to wear one, or just ask, and we will provide one for you to wear while at the office.
  • Consider bringing a light jacket to your appointment, as we do keep the office cool for your team's comfort.
  • Hand Sanitize – Hand sanitizer is available for your use when you enter the office and in each of our patient care rooms.
  • Your dental care team will be wearing the mask appropriate for the level of care they are providing.
  • Medical grade HEPA filtration is being used in each of the dental care rooms and in the common area of our suite.
  • We are happy to answer any questions you may have about our safety protocols and the steps we are taking to ensure the safety of our patients and our team. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to seeing you on your next visit!
